ABOUT LIFE FORCE DANCE - SOBER DANCE PARTIES & ECSTATIC DANCE IN LONDON

Welcome to Life Force Dance – a vibrant space where freedom, connection, and self-expression meet through the power of movement!

My mission is to expand the thriving community of ecstatic dance lovers in London, offering more opportunities for Londoners to connect with like-minded people, tap into their life force energy and dance like no one’s watching!

In a city where socialising often revolves around alcohol, I’m passionate about creating alternatives where the focus is on getting high on life rather than substances.

Dance is a primal, universal expression that’s part of every culture, and when you tap into that energy, it awakens something deep within.

At Life Force Dance, we go beyond just a sober rave – we’re about connecting to your life force. Dance is not only a primal expression shared by all cultures but also a direct path to tapping into your core energy. Our events are about unleashing that raw power within, letting go of stress, and moving through life with vitality and intention.

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking for a new way to shake off the weight of daily life, Life Force Dance provides a space where everyone can explore their inner energy. Here, you can break free from the norm, get grounded in mindfulness, and embrace the freedom that comes with moving your body and soul without judgment or expectation.

Our ecstatic dance events are more than just a party – they’re a journey of empowerment, connection, and self-discovery. By blending mindfulness, intention-setting, and movement, we help you reconnect to your life force, feel the rhythm of your being, and move in a way that revitalises your mind, body, and soul.

Each session begins with guided meditation and mindful breathing to help you set an intention and ground yourself in the present moment. The music is carefully curated to take you on a journey, starting with low tempo beats and then warming up with some fun commercial hits from genres like R&B, hip-hop, reggaeton, Afro beats, and Latin to get your body moving and heart pumping. As the energy builds, we transition into Afro-Latin-Tribal house to reach a powerful peak, before gradually cooling down with a deep, grounding meditation and a circle for closing.

This unique blend of mindfulness and high-energy music is designed to awaken your life force, leaving you feeling empowered, revitalized, and ready to take on whatever life brings. Whether you’re here for health, wellbeing, or simply a new way to enjoy socialising and dancing, Life Force Dance is a space where you can be your authentic self, connect with others, and tap into your life force.

If you’re ready to experience the transformative power of dance, break free from old patterns, and join a community that celebrates health, well-being, and conscious living, then Life Force Dance is the space for you. We invite you to move and feel alive like never before. We can’t wait to dance with you!

My mission is to expand the thriving community of sober ecstatic dance lovers in London, offering more opportunities for Londoners to connect with like-minded people, tap into their life force energy and dance like no one is watching!

I’ve always been the lone sober dancer at parties, sipping on water or juice while fully embracing the music, having an incredible time and waking up the morning after feeling refreshed. I want to share that same liberation with you – to create a space where we can dance, connect, and leave feeling lighter, energized, and deeply connected to our own life force.

Dancing has played an integral part in my life, it is a sanctuary, it is a creative outlet, it is a beautiful way to connect with others. In my younger days it started with making up dance routines to the latest chart hits with my friends in our bedrooms, to then taking classes in Latin Ballroom, Salsa, Belly Dance and the last few years focusing on Samba at Paraiso School of Samba where I have performed in the Passista dance group as well as Notting Hill Carnival. The structure and choreography of these dance forms is beautiful and sometimes we need to liberate ourselves and dance freely and intuitively and that is exactly what ecstatic dance invites us to do. I’ve been a participant of the ecstatic dance community for several years and would love to see the community reach new audiences. Music is what gives life to dance and recently I honed my DJ skills at the London Sound Academy and have performed as a DJ at corporate events for global brands like WeWork.

The styles of music that resonate with me and which I incorporate into my DJ sets are an eclectic mix of genres like Afro – Latin – Tribal house, Funky, Jazzy and Soulful House, Latin, R’n’B, Hip Hop, Jazz and some fun commercial hits thrown in to get everyone warmed up.

There’s something particularly special about the hypnotic rhythm of the drums that induce a trance like state where one can let go of self consciousness, surrender to the beat and allow the life force to move you!
